Diversit-e Forums

The Diversit-e-Forums are moderated, online discussion forums providing an opportunity for participants to share ideas, ask questions and engage in online discussions in specific areas of relevance to diversity health. Some forums are by invitation only.

Access to the Diversit-e Forums is via user passwords only. Passwords will be allocated by the Diversit-e Forums Coordinator and/or Forum Moderator. Please email dhiclearinghouse@swahs.health.nsw.gov.au if you require more information on the Diversit-e Forums.

Currently active forums:

  • Transcultural Mental Health Centre, Clinical Supervisors Forum (closed access) 
     
  • Diversit-e: Australia's diversity health magazine Forums (open access)

Conditions of Access and Use

You are required to agree to the Conditions of Access and Use each time you login to the forums.

Inappropriate use of the Diversit-e Forums will lead to removal of privileges to access the Diversit-e Forums.

Posts may be made to the Diversit-e Forums using a pseudonym or real name. However when registering to use the Diversit-e Forums you must provide a genuine name and e-mail address. The Diversity Health Institute is committed to maintaining your privacy and will not disclose your personal details to another party, publish them or use them for any other purpose.

A site moderator is responsible for reviewing all incoming messages to the Diversit-e Forum ensuring that published messages comply with the Conditions of Access and Use. The moderator has the right to refuse, or remove from the site, material submitted by a user that in the moderator's reasonable opinion: 

  • incites violence, racial hatred or intolerence against any group in our society, or which in the moderator's opinion may constitute a defamatory statement
  • is an infringement of copyright or intellectual property law or a breach of any other law. Material published on the Internet is subject to the same copyright law as material published elsewhere.  You must hold copyright, for or have permission to publish anything that you post to the Diversit-e Forums.
  • uses insulting, threatening obscene, inappropriate or provocative language
  • be for a commercial purpose
  • is an attempt to deliberately introduce any damaging computer code or virus.

The moderator may edit your contribution provided this does not alter the substantial content of your message. The moderator will contact you by email to outline the reasons for editing and seek your input or ask you to resubmit your message. When a message is edited the moderator may add a note at the bottom of the message to indicate that it has been edited by the moderator.

The Diversity Health Institute does not endorse the views expressed in posts to the Diversit-e Forums.

Posts to the Diversit-e Forums will be accessible only via user password, however, the Diversity Health Institute reserves the right to edit material and republish or broadcast in any media associated with the Diversity Health Institute.
