The Diversity Health Institute provides a range of specialised clinical services through its constituent organisations. The Transcultural Mental Health Centre (TMHC), the Multicultural Problem Gambling Service (MPGS) and Co-Exist NSW together provide culturally and linguistically appropriate services in over 55 languages. Transcultural Mental Health CentreTMHC’s Clinical Consultation and Assessment Service (CCAS) conducts multilingual psychosocial and psychiatric assessments, counselling, individual family and group psychoeducation and language specific and child and family outreach clinics. In addition, TMHC complements existing mental health services by assisting consumers and carers to access these services more effectively. Multicultural Problem Gambling Service for NSW
MPGS offers clinical services to problem gamblers from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities and their families. These include over the phone and face-to-face information, assessment and counselling. Services are provided in a range of community languages using qualified bilingual staff. Co-Exist NSW: Diversity Health Comorbidity Services
The Clinical Consultation and Assessment Service of Co-Exist NSW provides psychosocial, psychological and psychiatric assessment, family assessments, short term therapy and referrals to people from CALD communities living with comorbidity. Comorbidity describes the experience of living with two or more mental health conditions or a mental health condition and a substance abuse or problem gambling condition.
