CALD Consumers and Carers Speakers Bureau

Multicultural Mental Health Australia (MMHA) is a national program funded to promote mental health awareness and suicide prevention to Australians from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds.

One of our greatest challenges is breaking down the stigma attached to mental illness. To achieve this, MMHA is developing a National Speakers Bureau of carers and consumers from CALD backgrounds.

MMHA hopes this group of people with lived experience will help raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing through national and local media interviews.

Those who join the Speakers Bureau will be given special media training to help them in sharing their stories with the public.

Your personal experiences will go a long way in helping other people from CALD backgrounds who are affected by mental illness.
