Diversity in Health 2008

The Diversity in Health Conference: Strengths and Sustainable Solutions was the major event in diversity health in 2008 and brought together Australian and international leaders in diversity health practice. Held at the Sydney Convention Centre, Darling Harbour in March 2008 the event attracted over a thousand participants from all areas of diversity and health including community representatives, consumers, carers, clinicians, service providers, planners, policy makers, academics and students.

Participants spent three days engaging in lively dialogue about sustainable solutions and approaches to health and wellbeing that cater to culturally and linguistically diverse communities. Presentations highlighted innovative national and international research, practices, programs and partnerships between health management systems, providers, governments, legal systems, social service agencies and community organisations.
