Cross-Cultural Mental Health Care in General Practice
A Unit of Study via Distance Education offered by the NSW Institute of Psychiatry and the Transcultural Mental Health Centre is available to GPs
The unit will provide new and experienced GPs with the skills, knowledge and means of building better therapeutic relationships and working more effectively with patients from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities.

Semester starts: 25 July 2011
Semester finishes: 18 November 2011
Course delivery: Via Distance Education - unit of study for 15 weeks, 5 telephone based tutorials, 1 day workshop held in Sydney and Assessments.
Attendance at tutorials and workshop is compulsory.
The course is offered as part of the NSW Institute of Psychiatry Graduate Certificate, Diploma or Masters of Mental Health (General Practice) course, or can be completed as a stand-alone unit of study.
