A landmark conference on multicultural health and well-being

10-12 March, 2008
Sydney Convention Centre, Darling Harbour, Sydney

The Diversity in Health Conference incorporates the Multicultural Mental Health Australia national conference and the NSW Transcultural Mental Health Centre conference.

The conference aim is to build on clinical and community models and partnerships, which promote health and well being for diverse population groups. This international conference hopes to draw on the learning's of the past and build on that existing body of knowledge in order to further the agenda of diversity health both nationally and internationally.

The conference is targeted at local, national and international audiences that have an interest in diversity health. This may include researchers, allied health professionals, mental health workers, managers, policy makers, community representatives, consumers and carers, etc.

The conference will challenge all delegates who attend and provide a unique experience focussing on the strengths in research, community development practices and the strength of diversity and review how these can be used in creating sustainable solutions in the area of health.

The goal of the conference will be to establish an innovative agenda for diversity health that is relevant in the international and national context. The conference will look at developing new conceptual frames of reference, which reflect the social, economic and cultural world in which we live.
