SWAHS also employs a range of multicultural health staff, including multicultural health workers, multicultural health promotion officers, a HACC Multicultural Acess Project Officer, ethno-specific workers, bilingual counsellors, mental health workers, maternity liaison officers and aged care workers. The Health Care Interpreter Service (HCIS) is part of the Multicultural Health Network and employs a range of interpreters, providing interpreter services in over 120 languages.
The Area team is located at Cumberland Hospital and works with services across the area, including Population Health and Strategic Director Network, to implement specific aspects of the SWAHS Multicultural Health Strategic Plan.
The Area team also includes the Multicultural Health Promotion (MHP) Team. The MHP team works across the Area on specific population scale illness prevention programs and contributes to population scale strategies through the Centre for Population Health and coordinates the SWAHS Improving Refugee Health Strategy, the Bilingual Community Education (BCE) Program, the CALD Community Focused Nutrition Program and the HACC Multicultural Access Project.

The Central team is located at Cumberland Hospital and covers Blacktown and Baulkham Hills Local Government Areas (LGAs), several Clinical Networks and SWAHS facilities located in Central cluster.
The Western team is located at Nepean Hospital and covers Penrith, Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury and Greater Lithgow LGAs, several clinical networks and SWAHS facilities located in Western Cluster.
