Education & Training Psychology Intern Program

A program for Psychology Interns was established at TMHC in 1999. The program meets all the requirements of the NSW Psychologists Registration Board (the Board), while simultaneously training Interns to work with culturally and linguistically diverse clients. Supervision is provided by TMHC staff.

The two-year fee-based program includes:

•  A minimum of 100 hours of supervision, of which at least 60 are individual

•  A variety of workshops in areas relevant to Psychology at registration level

•  Access to TMHC test library and Cumberland Hospital library

•  Organisation visits

•  Placements providing the 16 hours per week of practical work experience required by the Board.

NB: Applications are also welcome from candidates who have arranged their own placements, or who have employment recognised by the Board for registration purposes.
